Sunset Silhouettes, Out of the Woods was formed as a group in Nashville, Tennessee, to record and promote the compositions of Gary Woods, Melbourne Australia.
Gary, born in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1944, began song-writing at a relatively "mature" age after a successful small-business career which culminated in the sale of a successful distribution business, Freedom Foods, commenced way back in 1981.
Gary visited Nashville with a brief-case full of his own country songs in August, 2006, intend on forming associations that would enhance his dream of seeing his original compositions come to life in America, as well as Australia: testimony to the success of this visit is well illustrated on his web-site, www.woodscompositions.com, as well as at myspace.com/garywoodscompositions and myspace.com/garywoodssomgsforastars.
Gary's songs bring back stirring memories of some of the country greats and are characterised by great lyrics telling good, human stories. His Albums all provide wonderful, easy listening entertainment
